Decks and Cabanas

We come out and look at your yard, check the grade and drainage, note where utilities run, and figure out the best placement for your deck. We also look at sun exposure, views, and how the deck connects to your house so the layout makes sense for how you'll actually use it.

We draw up detailed plans covering layout, materials, railing style, stair placement, and any built-in features like benches, planters, or pergolas. You get a clear picture of dimensions, material specs, and how the finished deck will look before we pull a single permit.

We handle the full permit process with the county. That includes site plans, structural drawings, and footing calculations. We know what each jurisdiction in the DC metro area requires and schedule all inspections throughout the build so nothing slows us down.

We dig and pour footings, set posts, build the frame with pressure-treated lumber and joist hangers, and install decking boards with proper spacing and fasteners. Every connection is to code, and we use stainless steel or coated hardware so nothing rusts out on you.

Railings, stairs, post caps, and any custom features like lighting or built-in seating go in last. For wood decks, we apply stain or sealer to protect against the elements. We do a final inspection, clean up the site, and walk the deck with you before we wrap up.
